Geanos Video Fixer Privacy Policy

Geanos Video Fixer is operated by Geano’s Products (“we”, “us” and “our”). This notice explains how we handle information when a merchant uses the app to remove or translate visible text in a video.

Information we collect

To provide the app, we process your Shopify store identity, app authentication and session information, video-credit purchases and balances, processing instructions, job status, and technical information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.

When you submit a video, we may process its images, visible text, audio, marked areas, selected time ranges and language choices. A video may contain personal information about people who appear or can be heard in it. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit and edit that material.

Payments are handled through Shopify. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card details.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate your store, perform the video removal or translation you request, provide completed results, maintain credits and purchase records, secure and troubleshoot the app, respond to requests, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell uploaded videos or use them to advertise unrelated products.

Video processing and storage

Videos and related information may be processed by Shopify, Google Cloud and specialist processing providers, which may include OpenAI, Replicate and fal.ai depending on the function used. Processing may take place outside your country.

Completed translation videos may remain in private cloud storage so you can retrieve them after a processing interruption or app restart. Closing the app page does not automatically delete a stored result. Job and credit records may also remain in the app database. Processing providers may retain limited information under their own security, abuse-prevention or legal practices.

Download and keep your own copy of a completed video. You can contact us to request deletion of stored results associated with your store, subject to technical and legal obligations.

Your rights and responsibilities

You retain the rights you hold in videos you submit. You give Geano’s Products and its contracted providers limited permission to receive, copy, transmit, modify, store and process that material as needed to provide your requested service, secure the app, resolve technical issues and comply with law. This does not transfer ownership to us.

Only submit videos you own or have permission to edit. You must have any required permission relating to people, music, voices, logos, text and other material in the video. Do not remove or alter branding, attribution or watermarks without proper authority. Review completed edits and translations before publishing them.

Retention, security and privacy requests

We retain account, session, credit, transaction, job, security and operational records for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain accurate records, resolve disputes and meet applicable obligations. Completed videos can remain in private storage for later retrieval; we do not promise automatic deletion when the page closes.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, although no internet or cloud service can be guaranteed completely secure. Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information associated with the app. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Some transaction, security or legal records may need to be retained.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice when the app or its processing arrangements change. The current notice will show its effective date.
